In a child’s brain, the main pathways for learning are developed during the first years of life. In fact, from birth to age 3, the brain is capable of generating up to 1,000 neural connections every second. This makes the early years an opportune time to introduce music. When introduced during this developmental period, the brain assimilates music in much the same way that it acquires language. Sound Beginnings capitalizes on the fact that the brain processes both music and language in the same area and provides an environment rich in both!

Optional home fun activity: Do the Name Recognition activity on page 20 of your workbook
(Remember, these activities are optional but can be a great bonding experience to do with your child during the week.)

For my convenience, I have preloaded content for the whole semester. I will update each future post with specific time-sensitive info before I send the link each week. If you choose to read ahead you might see details that don’t apply to your child’s class. For this reason I do not recommend reading ahead. Thank you!
