Black Spiders Lesson 3
It’s so fun to have everyone enjoying themselves in class! Remember, you may feel silly during class, but as your parent/child attachment is being strengthened, your child is thinking is, “Wow, my mom is SO FUN!”
Also, don’t worry if they don’t participate in the way you think they should be participating. As long as they are safe, you can allow them to sit or wander a little. They are still hearing the music and learning how music works. They will join in when they are ready. Mom, just model enjoyment and participation.
Who is Echo Edie?
Echo Edie is a sweet little 1-year old girl who likes to play the copy game. She makes fun noises and says, “hi” and “bye-bye” in a high, baby voice.
American culture encourages children (and adults) to speak and sing in a low chest voice. Through Echo Edie, Sound Beginnings students hear, experience, and explore high sounds in the head voice. Vocal play is a major key in developing a beautiful singing voice. Echo Edie also teaches children to match pitch, feel the beat, and repeat rhythms.

For my convenience, I have preloaded content for the whole semester. I will update each future post with specific time-sensitive info before I send the link each week. If you choose to read ahead you might see details that don’t apply to your child’s class. For this reason I do not recommend reading ahead. Thank you!
