🎵Students should work to ensure that they are playing the Hanon #1 exercise correctly (reading the notes versus guessing the notes).  It’s tricky with the skips and steps!  They can write note names above a few notes (in pencil!) if that would help.

🎵Page 32 of the songbook provides an opportunity for students to write their own chord progression!  They should follow the directions, write down a progression that sounds good to them, and practice it every day.  In a few weeks, we will be adding a melody in the right hand!

🎵 Students only need to watch the first 3 minutes of the video regarding Johann Strauss II.  They can watch all 6 minutes if they prefer, but the first half focuses on his musical career/style and will answer their questions.
