White Horses Lesson 10
Wow! Time really does fly when you are having fun. We have already completed three-quarters of our semester. I would love to have you join us again for next semester’s Silver Button’s class.
We’ll learn colors, shapes, days of the week, musical skills, and we’ll sing some songs in FRENCH!!! So fun!
Solfege is a method used at every level of music education to teach pitch and sight singing. The syllables allow the brain to connect more easily with pitch relationships, and hand signs add a physical element that further reinforces those relationships. Learning solfege means learning how to ‘hear’ a piece of music simply by looking at it because it develops inner hearing. It can also help a musician transcribe, improvise, and compose music.
Optional home fun activity: Cut out the horse puppet on page 31 in your workbook
(Remember, these activities are optional but can be a great bonding experience to do with your child during the week.)
