Blue Bugs Lesson 11
GREAT things are happening in class! I’m excited and enthused to see them learn and grow each time they come to class. Thank you for “playing” music with them and being such great consistent parents!
We’re at the final stages of enrollment for next year and are wrapping it up! You still have until May 31st to register and enroll your student before late fees hit. I realize some of you are waiting on other details before finalizing your class time. Just be sure you watch the deadline so you don’t get a late registration fee.
Our year end recital is coming up soon. I will be preparing the recital and sending home practice instructions soon. Keep your eye out for these notes.
Recital is scheduled for May 3rd in the evening. Be sure to help your kiddo learn the words to their songs and the bell practice is even more important so they feel confident at the recital.
On Top of Spaghetti
Today we talked about the word harmony as we sang and played “On Top of Spaghetti”. The students know harmony is two different sounds that sound good together. Learning to sing harmony helps them to sing in tune and stay on their part. It develops the inner ear and lays a solid foundation for becoming a complete musician.
Baby Bumblebee
Sing this well known song with your child this week. I will be asking them about it in class the next week and I want them to be familiar with it.
Those little frogs LOVE to go “a-h0ppin’!!” Want to make your own hoppin’ frog? Watch this video. Also, play the major and minor game on this website. It’s on the sidebar. (It’s free!)
For my convenience, I have preloaded content for the whole semester. I will update each future post with specific time-sensitive info before I send the link each week. If you choose to read ahead you might see details that don’t apply to your child’s class. For this reason I do not recommend reading ahead. Thank you!
